Day 1 — Welcome to Johannesburg

At Aero Savannah, we believe the adventure begins the moment you touch down. From your arrival, every detail is designed to make you feel welcome and immersed in the spirit of South Africa. After a short transfer to your hotel, you can relax and settle in while we introduce you to the warmth, charm, and genuine hospitality that make South Africa so special.

Day 2-3 — Makgadikgadi Pans

With a good night's rest behind us, the real adventure begins. After a few touch-and-goes to familiarise ourselves with the aircraft, we set off for Botswana. Your first landing outside of South Africa will be at the international airport of Gaborone, where you will clear immigration. From there, you will head towards the vast Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. As the landscape opens up, these immense plains reveal one of the world's largest salt pan systems, once part of an ancient lake. Depending on the season, zebras and wildebeest gather here in impressive numbers. As the day comes to an end, watch the sun disappear beyond the horizon — a moment of pure solitude in the heart of Botswana.

Day 4-6 — Okavango Delta

After a short refuel in Maun, you will take off for the legendary Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From 300 feet above, marvel at the breathtaking tapestry of waterways, islands and floodplains unfolding beneath you. Where there is water, there is life — watch for elephants, hippos and countless other species thriving across this extraordinary wilderness. Upon landing, the lodge team will welcome you. Slow down, disconnect and embrace the magic of your surroundings. You have arrived somewhere truly extraordinary, far removed from the outside world.

Day 7 — Chobe National Park

Botswana is an animal kingdom and you couldn't leave without visiting Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park. From here, enter a wilderness shaped by the Chobe River and home to one of Africa's largest concentrations of elephants. Set out on game drives or sunset cruise along the river, watching elephants, hippos, buffalo, crocs and countless birds gather at the water's edge. As the sun begins to set, the landscape takes on a magical glow, offering your last taste of Botswana's extraordinary wilderness. Botswana is a country you will never forget — we can guarantee you!

Day 8 — Victoria Falls

After an exciting and unforgettable time in Botswana, you will discover one of Africa's greatest natural wonders: Victoria Falls. After a short flight transfer, your journey continues across the border into Zimbabwe, where the mighty Zambezi plunges into the gorge below, creating a spectacular cloud of mist. Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or "The Smoke That Thunders," the Falls are a breathtaking display of nature's power. Visit the Falls at sunset and we promise that you will never forget the energy and power coming from these gigantic waterfalls! Settle into the vibrant town of Victoria Falls for the night.

Day 9-10 — Hwange National Park

Leaving the roar of Victoria Falls behind, your adventure continues into the untamed wilderness of Hwange National Park. Zimbabwe's largest national park, Hwange is a land of vast plains, wild bush and abundant wildlife. Set out in search of huge elephant herds, lions, buffalo and other iconic species, with every game drive bringing the thrill of the unexpected.

Day 11-12 — Lake Kariba

Leaving Hwange's vast, sun-scorched wilderness behind, your journey takes you towards the shores of Lake Kariba and the spectacular Bumi Hills. Perched high above the lake, the lodge offers breathtaking views over the endless blue waters and surrounding wilderness. Slow down, enjoy the scenery and embrace a different side of Zimbabwe, where sunsets stretch across the horizon and the vastness of Lake Kariba creates the perfect setting to unwind.

Day 13-14 — Mana Pools

From Lake Kariba, your journey continues to Mana Pools, one of Zimbabwe's most untouched wilderness areas. Explore the Zambezi by canoe and experience extraordinary encounters with elephants, hippos and abundant birdlife. Mana Pools offers an immersive safari experience in a truly remote setting, where the wilderness takes centre stage and every moment feels wonderfully far removed from the outside world.

Day 15-16 — Matobo National Park

You will now begin your journey back home, but before leaving Zimbabwe behind, your adventure continues south towards the extraordinary Matobo National Park. Here, enormous granite boulders, shaped over three billion years, rise dramatically from the landscape. Discover ancient San rock art and explore this otherworldly setting, renowned for its excellent opportunities for rhino tracking on foot. As the sun sets over the hills, the landscape takes on an almost magical atmosphere.

Day 17 — Return to Johannesburg

It is almost time to conclude this remarkable expedition. After a short flight to Bulawayo to clear immigration, continue to Polokwane before your final flight to Johannesburg. But the adventure is not over yet. As you take to the skies, the majestic Blyde River Canyon unfolds below, stretching towards the horizon — one final aerial spectacle before turning south towards the bustling city of Johannesburg, where you will make your final approach and landing of the journey.
